Conflict of Financial Interest:

ACA's New CCGPP Guidelines

               The ACA and its conglomerate affiliations (FCLB/NBCE/FCER/CCGPP) have been working on new practice guidelines. Dr. Eugene Lewis, who is listed as Chairman on the ccgpp web site (www.ccgpp.org), stated that all committee members signed statements of non-conflict of interest. However, we are very concerned that one or more of the members of each Chapter committee may have been or still are IMEs for various insurance companies. For example, the Chiropractic Journal reported that Dr. Triano has performed IMEs for State Farm Insurance Company (see http://www.worldchiropracticalliance.org/tcj/1996/apr/apr1996g.htm\).

               To insure that these new CCGPP guidelines will not be devised by persons with a conflict of financial interest, we ask our readers to look through the following list.
